Historical note

Previously known as the Commission on Academic Affairs, the Academic Affairs Board adopted its current name in 1979. According to the 1979 Colgate Governance Constitution, the Board's responsibilities included "long-range academic planning, the curriculum, academic advising, registration, academic calendars, graduation requirements, the granting of credits, and other matters directly related to the academic functions of the university."
