Historical Note

The committee on Preceptorial Studies had three objectives, as identified in the Memorandum of Meeting on November 10, 1961. They were to "study all aspects of the Preceptorial Program in order to determine its specific functions and values", to "survey alternatives" and to "determine what other program might best accomplish," the goals deemed important by the committee.
