Historical Note
According to a draft proposal by R.G. Smith on May 8, 1967, the Computer Committee was a 12 person committee formed in 1966-1967 tasked with "studying these problems to facilitate long-range planning both in the expansion of computer facilities...and the establishment of related educational programs." Colgate did receive a grant and a computer center was built in the O'Connor Campus Center in 1968.
