Historical note
The Salmagundi is Colgate University's yearbook. It was first published in 1883.
Prior to 1934, the Salmagundi was produced by and highlighted Colgate's junior class. In 1934, both junior and senior editions were produced, and thereafter the yearbook focused on Colgate seniors. In 1944, 1945, and 1946, the Salmagundi was not published due to the very low civilian population on campus during World War II. During these years, the Colgate Banter, a campus humor magazine, took on the role of campus yearbook.
As of 2015, the Salmagundi is still published annually.
