Scope and Contents
This collection contains programs, correspondence, announcements, and photographs from the Colgate University Concert series and its predecessor, the Concert and Lecture series. The materials ranges in date from 1931-1977. Most of the programs contain descriptions or summaries of the concert event. Newspaper clippings and notes are also included.

Historical note
The first annual Colgate University Concert and Lecture Series took place during the 1931-1932 academic year. It the upcoming years, it brought a variety of well-known musicians, actors, writers, and academics to campus. Beginning in 1948 it shifted its focus to musicians and became known as the Concert Series.
