Historical note
The 1952 Salmagundi provides the following description of the Campus Serenaders: "Unaffiliated with any activities group, the Campus Serenaders is a dance band consisting of Colgate students and one professor....Playing locally for parties and occasionally at some of the surrounding night spots, the Serenaders are professional musicians and they make all their own arrangements and handle their own business."
