Historical note
The Colgate Cosmopolitan Club was "composed of representatives of different nationalities" and aimed "to promote international good feeling by giving each nationality a chance to see affairs as others see them." It appears to have been established at Colgate in the 1920s and was granted a charter to the national Association of Cosmopolitan Clubs of American in 1927.
