The Colgate University photograph collection documents student life, academics, faculty, alumni, athletics, special events, and the physical campus at Colgate University over the past 150 years. Most of the photographs are black and white, although some color images are also included. For the vast majority of images, the photographers and the source of the photographs are unidentified.

This collection contains photographs, correspondence, press releases, newspaper clippings, and other material related to the sit-in of April 1968. Also includes a web archive of the activities of the student protest and sit-in that occurred in September 2014. The admissions building sit-in was to protest inequality and demand an inclusive environment on campus.

From "Guide to Special Collections at Colgate University":
1570 letters from Shaw to various correspondents, as well as holograph manuscripts, typescripts, revised proof, play books, art works, photographs and published materials by and about Shaw, and a sampling of Shaw ephemera. The collection also contains six Max Beerbohm cartoons of Shaw. An unpublished catalog is available within the department and specific requests can be made to the Special Collections Librarian.
