This collection consists of materials relating to early LGBTQ initiatives, particularly in Boston, from the 1970s to 1980s. Also includes documents from the 1999 meeting of the Council of Independent Colleges panel on college presidential spouses.

Scope and Contents This collection contains material from and about the Air Reserve Officer Training Corps program that was at Colgate from 1947 until 1970. The program was often referred to as ROTC instead of Air ROTC or AFROTC and that is reflected in the collection file names and in the materials. The Salmagundi records consist of photographs, negatives, contact sheets, and a small amount of production material from Colgate University's student yearbook office. The majority are from the 1990s. Many of the images are candid shots of students socializing or attending campus events, including graduation and spring party weekend. Also included are group shots of faculty, student organizations, and athletic teams as well as action shots from athletic events.

This collection contains one ledger. It includes the Sash Factory's judiciary board minutes and bylaws, which date from 1831-1832. It also includes accounts and notes from William Hosmer Shailer, a member of the Sash Factory, dating from 1838-1851.

This journal contains field notes, lecture notes, and an essay written by student George G. Saunders while he was a student at Colgate University. Much of it specifically addresses the Colgate campus, Hamilton, and the surrounding area. Included in the journal are sketches, photographs, a colored map of the local area, and an essay on "The Pleistocene geology of the Chenango Valley."
