The Michael Lassell '69 Postcard Collection
The collection of postcards was assembled by Michael Lassel ‘69. The postcards within the collection all consist of photos of the Colgate Campus and the town of Hamilton with an emphasis on the buildings and landscapes of those two areas. Additionally, although there is a wide range of dates for the postcards, a large quantity of the postcards date from the 1910’s through 1960’s.

This collection contains a diary written by Maria C. Todd from 1840-1841. It includes discussions of her daily life, religious activities, and family, which included sons studying in Hamilton, New York. The diary is dedicated to her son Theodore W. Todd and offers advice to him as he leaves home.

According to a note from former University Archivist Howard Williams, the letterbook contains "copies of letters relating to such topics as hiring of printers, buying paper and the sale of law books," as well as "receipts, for payments to printers, workmen, and suppliers."
