This collection contains works by and about Colgate graduate Charles J. Galpin. It includes lecture notes from his time as a graduate student at Harvard University, his graduate thesis, articles documenting his contributions to the field of rural sociology, a few of his published articles, travel materials, and a small amount of correspondence discussing his papers at Colgate.
This collection contains two bound volumes. The smaller volume (vol. 2) appears to contains duplicates of material also included in the larger volume (vol. 1). Both volumes mainly consist of issues of Bay View Magazine containing articles by R.W. Moore and others on German art, history, and literature. Also included are book reviews and essays by Moore from other publications, including an essay about Colgate University written in German.
This collection consists mostly of scientific articles written by Ernest Fox Nichols, some of which are reprints from the journals in which they originally appeared. The collection also contains two programs from Nichols' inauguration as President of Dartmouth College and two notebooks of lecture notes.
This collection documents activities at Colgate related to atomic arms control and conscientious objectors to war. It includes conference and committee materials, clippings, and magazine articles as well as newsletters and booklets from various national organizations promoting arms control.
